Delete your Braain account
You can delete your Braain account, and the data associated with it, at any time. Two ways:
From inside the app
- Open Braain and sign in.
- Tap your avatar (top-left) to open Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is queued for deletion immediately.
By email
Email support@braain.app from the address tied to your Braain account with the subject line Delete my account. We'll action the request within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and profile (name, email, avatar).
- Every space you own — including all things, schedules, reminders, notes, attachments, and chat messages in those spaces.
- Your membership in any space owned by someone else. The space itself stays with its owner; your messages remain attributed to "deleted user".
- Voice recordings and transcripts you've sent to Braain.
- Device-calendar and device-reminder data Braain has synced from your phone.
- RevenueCat customer record tied to your account.
What we keep, and for how long
After deletion completes, we retain the following for the periods shown — required either for fraud prevention or for compliance with Australian tax law:
- Billing records (subscription invoices, transaction IDs) — 7 years, per ATO record-keeping rules.
- Anonymised security logs (IP addresses with no link to your account) — 30 days, for abuse detection.
Nothing else is kept. We don't sell data and don't have backups that hold deleted content past the deletion window.
Timeline
- Day 0: Deletion requested. Your account is immediately deactivated; you can no longer sign in.
- Within 7 days: All content above is permanently deleted from production databases.
- Within 30 days: Deletion propagates to all backups.
Changed your mind?
Email support@braain.app within 7 days of requesting deletion and we can restore the account. After that, it's gone for good.
